SHUAA Capital was among the first companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market and has been listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange since the early 1980s. Its shares are held by over 11,000 shareholders from throughout the Arab region and, increasingly, by international investors. SHUAA Capital‘s current market capitalization is nearly USD800 million.

SHUAA Capital adheres to strict standards of transparency. In 1993, the company was the first in the UAE to adopt IAS reporting standards and to issue quarterly financial statements, now required of all companies listed on the Dubai Financial Market and the Kuwait Stock Exchange.

SHUAA Capital’s DIFC subsidiary, SHUAA Capital International Ltd., has a full DFSA authorization to carry out investment banking activities at the DIFC. The company was the first Arab and regional investment banking institution to act as a Clearing Member and Custodian on the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX).

More recently, SHUAA Capital received authorization from the Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority (CMA) to carry out the full range of investment banking services in the Kingdom through its subsidiary, SHUAA Capital (Saudi Arabia).

Capital Intelligence rated SHUAA Capital as investment grade: BBB+.

EUROMONEY honored SHUAA Capital with the “Best Equity House in the UAE Award” in the years 2004 and 2007.
