SHUAA Capital is a public shareholding company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates in 1979 and headquartered in Dubai. The company was established to promote investment opportunities within the broader Middle East and North Africa region. It is licensed and regulated as a financial investment company by the UAE Central Bank.

Beginning in 1998, we have continuously expanded the range of our investment activities beyond its original Private Equity focus to encompass a broad spectrum of financial services including Asset Management, Investment Banking, Brokerage and Advisory and Investment Research. Our Private Equity activities are now conducted through our wholly-owned subsidiary SHUAA Partners.

Our regional investor insight and understanding of the local markets combined with investment discipline, expertise and international credibility have earned us an impressive track record.

Today we are one of the leading financial services institutions in the broader GCC region, and the largest investment banking institution in the UAE by market share, with total client assets under custody and management at approximately USD2.7 billion as at 30 September 2007.

Our focus is always on providing our clients with world class financial services throughout the greater Middle East region. With that in mind, we have accelerated the expansion of our main business lines into the GCC and regional markets. We started with the incorporation of operating subsidiaries in the Dubai International Financial Centre and continued with the establishment of a full services investment banking subsidiary in Saudi Arabia and the opening of representative offices in Egypt, Turkey and Lebanon. Additional offices and activities are planned both within the region and in other international financial centers.
