• Maher R. Hammoud

  Executive Director

  

  Maher Hammoud is in charge of the Group CEO Office, responsible for all elements of corporate planning and managing SHUAA Capital's strategic investments. In this role, Mr. Hammoud advises on the corporate strategy to senior management and SHUAA Capital's Board of Directors. Mr. Hammoud represents SHUAA Capital on the Board of Directors on a number of companies.
  
  Mr. Hammoud is also an Executive Director at SHUAA Partners Ltd., the Private Equity arm of SHUAA Capital. Mr. Hammoud has been involved in acquisitions, divestures and business restructurings in the GCC, Levant and Egypt. Mr. Hammoud was a member of the investment committee and served on the Board of Directors of a number of portfolio companies.
  
  Mr. Hammoud holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School (UK), MBA from the Lebanese American University (Lebanon), and Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s University (Canada).

• Rakesh Patnaik

  Rakesh Patnaik has 16 years professional experience in Fund Management, Islamic Finance, Investments and Corporate Real Estate – specific in originating & structuring transactions, Islamic Structures, Asset Management, Investor Relations and related fund management issues.
  
  Before joining SHUAA Capital in June 2011, Mr. Patnaik was employed with The First Investor, Qatar, as Executive Director for Real Estate Funds, prior to which Mr. Patnaik was employed with Global Investment House, Kuwait. Mr. Patnaik also has working experience in Corporate Real Estate, with Jones Lang LaSalle, Savills, CBRE, and was based in Singapore and India.
  
  Mr. Patnaik is invited on a regular basis as a speaker at various real estate and investment conferences, where his views on Shariah-compliant real estate funds are well accepted in the Gulf region and internationally. Mr. Patnaik has been a recipient of The Best Real Estate Fund Managers award in 2007, 2008 and 2009 by various international organisations.
  
  Mr. Patnaik is a Post Graduate in Business Management from T.A. Pai Management Institute, India.
