The Fund Manager's Market Commentary for January, 2012

During January, QGF Q and N fell 1.7% and 1.6% respectively. In comparison, the QE Index dropped 2.4%. In our view this was a short term correction following the strong market momentum in Q4 2011.

Greece and Eurozone concerns continue to dominate headlines, and depending on the outcome, we expect to see more volatility ahead. We however remain constructive on Qatar equities, which are reasonably valued (less than 10x trailing price to earings and at 1.7x price to book) and retain good growth prospects.
