Director

Arshad Ashraf is the Board representative of Passport Capital – a San Francisco based global investment firm with $4.7B in assets under management. Mr. Ashraf heads the Middle East and North Africa investment team at Passport Capital that manages approximately $300M in portfolio investments in the region. Before joining Passport Capital, Mr. Ashraf has held various positions in engineering services, management consulting, technology start-ups and private equity. In 2001 he was the winner of the McKinsey National Business Plan Competition and voted as one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs in Malaysia by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). He holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering and a BA in Religion from Boston University and is a Sloan Fellow with a MS in Management from Stanford University.
